Jorlanth prepares to tell all
I'm working on a piece of fiction based on the events in an email based RPG that started in April. It is very close to the end and my character is the only one left standing on a shuttle lost in the void of space. So this is his recollections into the ships computer should rescue not arrive before his air runs out. It's funny writing it totally subjective, twisting things from how they actually happened to how Jorlanth recalls them or want them to be remembered. Hopefully the other players will get a kick out of it as they will know what really happened and how he is twisting things.
Reading this months Linux Format and there are a few nice pieces of software that I might have a little play with once I'm finished writing. Kile - a KDE based TeX/LaTeX editor. Meld - a graphical diff utility. Gmodconfig - a graphical kernel module configuration utility.
My Linux Boot Floppy project that I was working on to turn my old Compaq Armada laptop into disk-less workstation has had to concede the need for a second disk to hold the huge libc library so I can get the network card loaded. *grumble* At least I'm making progress. I'm actually giving that a break for now to work on a couple of other things, but I might get back to it this evening.
