Passage into Darkness
I like the lighting on this.
I've been throwing up more and more photos to my Flickr account. Select images I'll link to in a post.
This image is a passage between two rows of huts to get from the main building of the college to the car park in the adjacent conference center. It's all the same company/group. There are some major roadworks and construction taking place around the other side of the campus that has made a hundred or so parking spaces unavailable, so the need to use neighboring car parks.
I'd been trying to figure out how to take a half-decent picture outside at night without using the flash. I wanted to capture the scene as it looks, not when I smack it with a white light. It's also more discrete like this. I took this shot using the mode the camera refers to as 'museum'. I've taken a couple of other shots with this mode and quite like the tone it captures.
