I went to my mother's for my birthday on Wednesday. And came away having bought their old wide-screen TV. Old in the sense that they were buying a new flatscreen TV. Yes, I've previously wailed on against TVs. I know. I have no intention of fitting an ariel or other device that will allow broadcast TV onto it. It is for watching DVDs and other select programs that I choose to send to it. Even though, I am still keeping up with my TV License. As required by law.

The Lost Podcast with Jay and Jack is one of my favorite Podcasts.  This is impressive given that I am currently subscribed to 57 different feeds.  The reason I mention this is because I've been helping out a little at the show's Wiki.  Not really providing any content.  Mostly page formatting and structure.

My external USB hard disk died last night. I've lost a lot of media files that I had collected. This was the drive's main purpose and we even labelled 'Media'. Video, audio books, music and a VMWare Virtual Machine. There were other files there too, but I can't even remember what they were. Thankfully I know I haven't lost anything critical, as all those files are held in an SVN repository which is mirrored on a few different computers. All the other media can be reloaded if needed.
