That's twice in two days I've managed to break my openvpn connection to work. Naturally it is the remote end of the connection that is borked. I can't fix it until I can physically get into the office tomorrow morning. I need to reset the IP routing table back to what was a semi-working configuration.

I thought that yesterday was bad for not writing during my lunch break. Well today I managed to go one step even further. I forgot to go for my lunch. The canteen closes at 1.30pm. I had been working furiously on the computer until I got a phone call at 1.27pm. There is a display on the phone with the time. That is how I know. I looked at the display to see who was calling. Not that I would ever actually not answer it, but I like to know who I'm about to talk to before I do so. Caller ID can be habit forming.

Not that I see myself using this much yet, but I've bought http://paul-campbell.org/. It simply redirects back to here. Go blame Tee Morris. It was one of his earliest ideas in The Survival Guide to Writing Fantasy.

Blogging and Podcasts are creeping into the concousness of staff at work.  I mean non-IT staff.  I was asked a few weeks ago to set up a test blog server for a project.  With Debian that is easy, even though I had to do some fancy footwork to allow multiple wordpress blogs on the same server.

Then on Thursday and Friday I was asked by tow independant members of staff about Podcast, what they are and how to get them.  Not that their enquiries were work related, but one of them has asked me to write a short article on Podcasts for a Newsletter that is sent out to all staff.

I finally gave in at the weekend and upgraded my 50-week old iPod mini for a shiny new black iPod Video.
