I knew that I had been on a good writing kick that last month or so. What I didn't realise was quite how much I had written. I took the idea of publishing my word counts in the side bar from Mur's I Should Be Writing. When I compared the writing that I had around mid-January with what I have today, and did word counts on the two, I found out how much I had done. I came up with an additionaly 20,073 words. I had been aware that I had been writing a thousand words or so on some days.

I'm getting back into my stride. If fact I'm getting into what feels like the best stride I've been in my memory. Knowning my memory that might not be saying too much, but moving right along. This is all despite driving my little Matiz into an HGV. Yes, I swerved to avoid an idiot in a sports car, and hit an HGV instead.

Now I have a sore neck. Yet I still feel good about things.

So why do I feel so good? Let's see...

Time Management for System Administrators

I want - no - I need this book. I'll be asking my boss to get me a copy.

I suspect that I'm not the only person who has found themselves doing this. It was quite disorienting at first, as I realised I wasn't looking at what I had thought I was.

I was working on a puzzle in a Suduko book that I got as a present. I had been shying away from this whole puzzle craze until I was given this book. They aren't that hard. They typically take me about ten minutes. I mindless distraction while I'm waiting on something, or to keep my hands and a part of my mind busy while listening to a Podcast or an audio book.

Within the month my parents will be on the Internet. They are getting broadband.

Now there are a few consequences to this. First, they will now have access to the last three years of my blog, which was on the slightly more bizarre side of interesting during it's first year. Second, I'll need to setup their PC and laptop with all the right software to make sure they don't become zombies. There isn't a lot I can do about the first. The second is something I can handle.

Here is the short list:
