I go this text message on my mobile, but I don't recognise the source number. Not sure if I should reply to it in case it is spam.

Just to let you know i'm having a party on June 19th and your attendance is compulsory - let me know if you can make it

I'm just going to treat it as spam.

I went home at lunch time. I can do that now. I have a car. Don't worry, I'll eventually get bored of mentioning it. Eventually.

Finally tidied up the living room and rearranged the furniture that I have been meaning to do at the weekend. My TV, video and DVD player have all been removed and are stacked unceremoniously in a corner of the box room. Unplugged, unloved and facing the wall. There is suddenly a hell of a lot more room in the living room. Space to cavort even. Should I be inclined.

All of this before 2pm.

Went to my cousin Denise's wedding reception this evening. Saw a lot of family that I haven't seen in a very long time. Including two cousins who live in Ireland whom I haven't seen in about 16 years. It was quite a surprise to see them grown up as they are now 16 and 19 years old. Jodie is the older sister of Nicola.

I've been trying the RSS feed reader recommended by [LJ:scimon], SAGE for FireFox. I was skeptical at first, but I've been won over. The main reason is that it uses my browser cookies so I can use it to read the private posts on my friends journals. the reader I used before, liferea, could only show the public posts.

* 11 LJ friends feeds
* 13 assorted other feeds

If you haven't heard of dasher and you have to battle with a keyboard everyday then you might be interested in taking a look at it. Although it would really be for the sense of novelty. I found that I was able to type much faster and with much less concentration required. You would have to try it out for yourself. I have found that as I am using it to creat this post I am finding that a little practice is going a long way to change the original opinion that it was basically to slow to be usable by anyone but the slowest of typists. This entire post has been composed using dasher.

It still doesn't feel like my car yet. Probably because it is still all shiny and new. I also, still can't get over how small it looks parked next other cars. It's tiny. Really tiny. Perhaps not as small and a Smart car, but still on the very small side. Yet still with five doors.

I was going to go see Shaking Spear's Hamlet in Edinburgh this evening, but when I got home from work at 7pm I just decided to have an evening in for a change. I should really do more at home than just sleep.

Got my car this morning. Slightly worried while going over the paperwork, and providing a bank statement and two bills (Gas bill and Electric bill). None of them have exactly the same address. None of them match the address that comes up from a Post Code finder. Yet all are valid addresses for my property. Some phone calls and faxes back to Arnold Clark's main finance office who then got in touch with the financing company to verify everything. All the while I'm sitting patiently till they call back to say Yea or Nay.
