Inverkeithing finally hit it's trigger of 500 registrations yesterday evening. I can get Broadband!!!

Now I just have to wait for BT to announce when they will actually upgrade the exchange. Based on a friend of mine, whose exchange hit it's trigger a couple of weeks ago, it should be late June.

The SpeedDate event on Tuesday was nerve-wracking, and ultimately unproductive. At least I tried.

Just found out yesterday that my Grandad is in hospital for observation after collapsing on the treadmill during a regular checkup. I'm going to pop in and see him this afternoon.

We had a small power cut at work yesterday. All the servers were fine, being on UPSs. All the PCs across the college died though. Of course I missed it, I didn't get into work till 09:05, about fifteen minutes after the cut. by then the power was back on. No real propblems, only had to reboot an NT server because some crufty software on it had locked our payroll staff out of it, claiming they were still logged in.

I couldn't get to the Dramatic Society tonight. And none of them have a number to contact me, and the only number I have is Pamela's, who won't get home till late tonight. They are probably wondering if I'm going back. I am, but I need to beg of this Tuesday. That's when the Speed Date is over in Edinburgh. I'm not nervous about that yet, because I just havn't been thinking about it. Repession?

I had my first encounter with the Dunfermline Dramatic Society last night. I have managed to pay attentention and can rememeber not just everyone's names, but the names to the characters they are playing: Steven, Leoni, Pamela, Bruce, Tom and Claire. Playing Daniel, Dolly, Maria, Simon, Sven Gali and Sally, respectivly. The play that they are currently reheasing on Thursday evenings is called 'When I Snap My Fingers', written by Bruce. It's about a stage hypnotist who's posthypnotic suggestions are inadvertantly left on two of his audience.

Dunfermline Dramatic Society: I called on Saturday and arranged to go along on Thursday night. It runs from 7.30 till 9pm, Which I thought was a bit short. Only and hour-and-a-half. They are rehearsing for two productions at the moment. Once is a two-actor multiple-character piece, that is reheasing on Tuesdays, and another piece on Thursdays. I was invited to come along to the Thursday evening as the whole group would be there that night, and I could meet everyone.
